From November 28 to 30, 2024, the 8th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Vacuum Science and Technology Innovation Development Forum and the 7th Member Representative Conference of the Guangdong Vacuum Society were successfully held in Zhaoqing, hosted by the Guangdong Vacuum Society, the Guangdong Vacuum Industry Technology Innovation Alliance and Jinan University, and co-organized by Zhaoqing College, Guangdong Zhenhua Technology Co., Ltd., Zhaoqing Kerun Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Tengsheng Technology Innovation Co., Ltd.
The conference has three topics: vacuum equipment and application technology, optoelectronic thin film materials and devices, and hard coatings and surface engineering. Professor Liu Bin from Nanjing University, Professor Liu Ping from South China University of Technology and many well-known industry experts were invited to give conference reports to exchange the latest application progress of vacuum technology in electronic information, semiconductor devices, new energy development, tooling and mold coating and other fields. This conference is a high-level, high-standard academic event with deep integration of industry, academia and research. More than 300 experts, scholars and engineering technicians from colleges, research institutes and companies in and outside the province attended the conference to discuss and share the latest vacuum technology research and development results. Nearly 50 industry companies in and outside the province sponsored the conference. A total of more than 40 academic papers were collected and more than 40 conference reports were arranged.
There are 8 special reports in the conference. Professor Liu Bin from Nanjing University gave a report entitled "Epitaxial growth and device preparation, integrated process and application of gallium nitride-based Micro-LED materials", Professor Liu Ping from South China University of Technology gave a report entitled "Flexible organic electrochromic devices with multicolor, low voltage drive and high contrast, and organic photovoltaic performance based on oligomers and organic derivatives", Senior Researcher Yue Lei from Avac gave a report entitled "Mass production solutions for advanced functional films", Professor Wu Li from Sichuan University gave a report entitled "Design and property research of microwave low-pressure plasma devices", General Manager Li Zhirong from Guangdong Huicheng Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. gave a report entitled "Key technology research on high vacuum continuous winding evaporation aluminum film equipment", Dr. Liu Shiyu, Deputy Director of the Innovation Center of the Singapore Academy of Sciences, gave a report entitled "Design, deposition and characterization of high-temperature nanostructured superhard coatings", Distinguished Researcher Wu Zhongzhen from the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University gave a report entitled "Research on integrated hard coatings by infiltration and plating on soft substrate surfaces", and Professor Lin Songsheng from the Institute of New Materials of the Guangdong Academy of Sciences gave a report entitled "Strong and tough integrated metal/nitride wear-resistant coatings and their applications in aviation components". Leading enterprises in the province also shared their respective industrialization progress in vacuum complete sets of equipment. The wonderful reports were unanimously appreciated and praised by the participants.
The seventh member representative conference of Guangdong Vacuum Society was held at the same time. Professor Liu Pengyi, the sixth chairman of the society, made a work report on the sixth council of Guangdong Vacuum Society. Associate Professor Tang Zhenfang, secretary-general of the society, made a financial work report on the sixth council of Guangdong Vacuum Society and explained the revision of the constitution of Guangdong Vacuum Society and the election plan for the new term.
The conference passed the amendment to the Society's Articles of Association by secret ballot. The Society held secret ballot elections for the seventh council and the second board of supervisors, and all 173 council candidates and 5 supervisor candidates were elected.
The first meeting of the seventh council and the second board of supervisors was held subsequently, and one chairman, 22 vice chairmen, one secretary general, 60 executive directors, and one supervisor were elected for the seventh council. Professor Liu Pengyi was elected as the chairman of the seventh council, and Professor Yao Ruohe was elected as the supervisor of the second board of supervisors. Associate Professor Tang Zhenfang was elected as the secretary general.
The conference held a grand annual awards ceremony. Professor Su Fenghua of South China University of Technology and Chairman Le Weiping of Shenzhen Hengyunchang Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. won the Fifth Guangdong Vacuum Science and Technology Innovation Award; Guangdong Academy of Sciences New Materials Research Institute, South China University of Technology and other units won the Fourth Guangdong Vacuum Science and Technology Progress Award; Su Guoping and other 8 authors won the Tenth Guangdong Vacuum Science and Technology Youth Outstanding Paper Award; Chen Dexin and other 6 speakers won the Annual Youth Outstanding Academic Report Award.
At the annual awards ceremony, 35 veteran comrades, experts and directors of the society who made important contributions to the development of the society were awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award for the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Guangdong Vacuum Society, and 72 units were awarded the honorary title of Outstanding Group Member of the Sixth Council.
After the conference, some participants visited Guangdong Zhenhua Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhaoqing Kerun Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd. and were warmly received.
