The 9th Standing Council and Party Working Group Meeting of the Shanghai Vacuum Society was successfully held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University

On the morning of December 13, 2024, the Shanghai Vacuum Society held the 9th Standing Council and Party Working Group Meeting at the National Key Laboratory of Micron and Nano Processing Technology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The meeting was chaired by Professor Sun Zhuo, Chairman of the Board. Professor Liu Jingquan, Vice President/Director of the National Key Laboratory of Micron and Nano Processing Technology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, delivered a speech. He first expressed a warm welcome to the executive directors attending the meeting. Professor Liu introduced the latest progress of the National Key Laboratory of Micron and Nano Processing Technology. Han Jianhua, Vice President/Leader of the Party Working Group, exchanged and reported on the summary of the party building work of the society in 2024. In 2024, the party building work of the society insisted on implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party as the main line, continued to deepen learning, promoted the deep integration of party building work and society activities, continuously improved the political literacy of party members, insisted on participating in organizational activities without slacking off, and played the leading role of the party working group of the society with the joint efforts of the members of the party working group.

Secretary-General Mo Xiaoliang reported and discussed the main work plan of the society in 2025. The specific plan is to hold the 10th Member Congress of the Shanghai Vacuum Society in March 2025 and elect the 10th Council. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Vacuum Society, compile and print the 40th anniversary commemorative album of the founding of the society, and welcome the successful convening of the 10th Member Congress of the Shanghai Vacuum Society.

In the first half of the year, the application and review of the 8th Shanghai Vacuum Youth Innovation Award will be carried out. It is planned to hold the 2025 Vacuum Technology Training Class - vacuum coating, vacuum acquisition, mass spectrometry leak detection, perovskite technology and other special training. In July, it is planned to hold the 14th East China Three Provinces and One City Vacuum Academic Exchange Conference and the Yangtze River Delta Vacuum Technology Industry Forum and new product display.

In addition, the society will continue to strengthen scientific and technological evaluation activities in the field of vacuum technology and applications. The society will be invited to organize visits to foreign companies, exchange activities, visit foreign vacuum exhibitions and visit vacuum-related companies. In August, it is planned to hold the 2025 China Semiconductor Ecological Development Conference and Industry-University-Research Expo. In November, it is planned to host the 18th International Vacuum Exhibition hosted by the China Vacuum Society, and hold the 2025 Vacuum Academic Forum at the same time to carry out academic exchanges and showcase the new achievements in the development of vacuum science and technology in recent years. In December, the 2025 Vacuum Application Innovation Forum and the Shanghai Vacuum Society Academic Annual Meeting will be held to promote the development of vacuum technology and industry, enhance exchanges and cooperation among member units, and hold the 10th Second Council and the 8th Shanghai Vacuum Youth Innovation Award Ceremony.

The meeting reviewed and approved the work report of the 9th Supervisory Committee, the membership fee standards and management system, and the basic information of the directors, executive directors, supervisors and candidates for the new leadership. The meeting also reviewed and approved the third batch of 20 group member units applying to join in 2024 (see attachment).

After the meeting, the executive directors visited the National Key Laboratory of Micron and Nano Processing Technology, where Professor Liu gave a key introduction and exchanged ideas on the spot. The executive directors congratulated the National Key Laboratory of Micron and Nano Processing Technology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on its development and major achievements, and expressed their gratitude to the Shanghai Jiao Tong University team for their warm invitation and hospitality! At the end of the meeting, the executive directors visited the History Museum of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
